Professional Referrals

Let's Work Together.

If you work in health or social care and have a patient or client who is living independently but becoming increasingly isolated, Gerry may be able to help.

We are a companionship service that connects older people living independently with vetted local companions for regular visits, outings, and practical everyday support.

We are not a care service and do not provide personal or clinical care. Our companions are identity-verified and DBS-checked, and families receive written visit notes after every appointment.

Who Gerry is suitable for

Gerry works well for people who are cognitively capable and living independently, but who are at risk of social isolation or loneliness. Common referral scenarios include people recently widowed or bereaved, people whose family members live at a distance, and people who have recently lost driving ability or mobility.

Who Gerry is not suitable for

Gerry companions do not provide personal care, clinical support, or dementia-specific services. If a patient has significant personal care needs, a CQC-registered provider would be more appropriate.

How to refer someone to Gerry.
